Throughout the Haines area, guided forays on foot allow children to build junior endurance, learn trail etiquette, and a get a basic understanding of our dynamic eco-system.

Kids learn how to orient to their previous routes from hike to hike, growing a sense of responsible attachment and awareness of place. Map making and orienteering are bright in our future.

Kiddos learn managing their packs with their snacks and lunches, carrying and rationing their own water bottle and packing and caring for necessary extra clothing. Understanding basic first aid will be offered with our summer sessions.

Morning sessions are 9 Am -12:30 M-Sat
Afternoons ~ 1Pm-4 M-Sat

Age ranges are mixed 1.5 ~ 6 year olds.

Kids come to Adventure Camp knowing they’re able to walk a fair distance. Most come away with surprising competence on the trail and as supportive friends for one another.

Drop by the Wolf Den and chat with Adrian, Hannah or Ms. Vija.

The Wolf Den is tickled to have Mr. Sam E. Jackson as our fff-featured artist. Sam E. is deeply inspired by his heritage landscape and traditional Tlingit culture. He's worked rather tirelessly the last few seasons to create a body of work available for our local markets. Sam's work is featured elsewhere Haines so keep your eyes open. Drop by Dalton City this f~friday to see Sam's recent efforts. He generously created hand painted name plates for our donors, as well. Hope to see you, Ade
